The ULTRA-4K is comprised of the ULTRA-4K-S Sender and the ULTRA-4K-R Receiver. The system is used to extend USB 2.0 and dual display HDMI video (with resolutions up to 4K UHD) to one or more remote locations up to a maximum distance of 100m (328ft) over a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable.

The Sender features two HDMI inputs and one USB input. It has two HDMI outputs (corresponding to the two HDMI inputs) and two USB outputs for local control of the PC. Additionally, there are three separate RJ45 output ports to extend video and control to multiple remote locations simultaneously.

The Receiver provides two HDMI outputs and 6 USB ports. Two of the USB ports are dedicated for use with keyboard and mouse. When more than one Receiver is present, the keyboard and mouse ports work seamlessly among the Receivers on a first-come, first-served basis (autoswitching based on keyboard or mouse activity). You can use either the Keyboard or the Mouse port on the Receiver to connect a KVM switch (for keyboard and mouse data).

For connection of other USB devices such as printers, touch-screens, USB memory, etc, four additional general-purpose USB 2.0 ports are provided. In a setup with only one Receiver, the 4 USB 2.0 ports automatically pair with the Sender. When there is more than one ULTRA-4K Receiver present, only one can be paired with the Sender. Pairing is accomplished using a push button on the front panel, with a corresponding LED to indicate USB 2.0 port pairing with the Sender.

Each Receiver features an RJ45 "LINK OUT" port that can be daisychained to down-stream Receivers. All signals are re-buffered, so the LINK OUT port can drive cables to 100 meters long.

The RJ45 output ports (on the Sender or the Receiver), can be connected to ULTRA-4K or ULTRA-V Receivers in any combination. ULTRA-V Receivers provide only one video output and no USB. The ULTRA-V Receivers show Video A by default, however, they can be configured to display Video B via a simple PC GUI. Please refer to the ULTRA-V User's Manual for further details.
